Dan Snider and his wife, LaVonne, came to Memorial Christian Church in May, 1997. Dan had ministries in Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas and Texas prior to coming to Oklahoma in 1981. They bring skills in music, teaching, missions and shepherding to this ministry.
A message from our Minister:
I wish to invite you to discover the warmth of our church family. You won't receive the cold-shoulder treatment at Memorial Christian Church. As our Home page states, "No strangers here; we make friends when you come in the door."
We are a Bible believing, Bible teaching church, interested in helping people find peace in their relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We are unapologetically conservative in our approach to the Scriptures and God's message of salvation and righteousness. We welcome the opportunity to share with you our faith in the Savior: "Teaching them to observe all that I commanded you," Jesus said.
You will find us to be loving and accepting, yet we make every effort to remain true to the intentions of our Lord that we live godly lives.
Faith: John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes
in Him should not perish, but have eternal life."
John 10:10-11
- "I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly. I am
the good Shepherd: the good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep."
Repentance: 2 Peter 3:9 - "The Lord ... is patient
toward you, not wishing for any to perish
but for all to come to repentance."
Confession: Acts 8:37 - "And Philip said, 'If you believe with all your heart, you
may' (be
baptized). And he answered and said, 'I believe that
Jesus Christ is the Son of God'."
Baptism: Matthew 28:19 - "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit."
Acts 2:38 - "And Peter said to them, 'Repent and let each of you be baptized in
the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you
shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit'."
